by Douglas McKelveyO Christ Whose Words Are Never Wasted or Misplaced, I have been silent sometimes, when untruths are espoused around me, not knowing how my arguments might be received, and whether it is better to speak up in a given moment, or to intercede quietly while waiting for some more opportune time when your Spirit might lead me into deeper interaction born of real relationship and concern for another person.
Thank you for this. It’s a struggle to find the right words to build bridges and understanding and is so often easier to stay quiet not wanting to lose the people you care about.
Someone’s been reading my mind again! The battle of when and if and how to speak up. This prayer helps me have clarity of motive and mission. Thank you!
This is SO timely. Thank you for this well-spoken, thoughtful liturgy that lands on point in a time that I imagine we all have this conversation reverberating in our head.
I was just reminded to read this when tuning in to one of my go to podcasts and the guest mentioned the Rabbit Room. The guest was Doug McKelvey! Go figure. This liturgy is SO helpful for me in these times and in every time really. Bless you for sharing ♥️
With a liturgy this drawn out we’ll miss every moment the Lord gives us to speak up. I was hoping for something more like, “I’m a mess, but this is wrong, so, merciful Lord, here goes nothing.”
Thank you for this timely prayer - our family is in this very situation, trying discern if we speak or walk away. Thank you for a prayer reflecting the heart of Christ for ALL involved. ❤️
